Fifty-One Years in the Making
It’s worth remembering where this began. In 1975, Jorge and Graciela Adeler arrived from Argentina and opened a small jewelry business. In 1980, we moved to the Great Falls Village Centre, where we’ve been ever since — intentionally a little removed from the mainstream, a little harder to stumble upon, and all the better for it.
Fifty-one years later, the essentials haven’t changed. Jorge still searches the world in search of extraordinary gemstones, pearls, and authentic ancient and shipwreck coins. Our master gold and platinum smiths still craft each piece by hand in the workshop. And clients still sit down across a table from the person who will design their ring, not a catalog.
“We have never tried to be the biggest jeweler in Washington,” Jorge said. “We have only ever tried to make jewelry that means something to the person wearing it. To be recognized this way by our own city — that is the reward.”
An Honor That Belongs to Our Clients
Best of the City is a portrait of what a region values, and being included in it is really a reflection of the people who walk through our door.
Our clients are the ones who brought us a grandmother’s ruby and asked what could be done with it. Who came in for a repair and stayed forty-five minutes to talk. Who sent their sons and daughters to us for engagement rings a generation after we made their own. Recognition like this doesn’t come from advertising. It comes from decades of those conversations.

If you’ve never made the drive out — it’s a straight shot up Georgetown Pike, about half an hour from the District — this is a good excuse. Our two-story showroom is filled with Jorge’s original designs, our gemstone collection, and the award-winning COUTURE piece, which is on display now. We have GIA-trained gemologists on premises, and there’s always coffee on.
