As we are celebrating Meteorite Monday with our Sky designer jewelry collection, it’s a perfect time to mention a must see event in Virginia. Tonight they will be launching an Orbital Antares rocket from Virginia’s NASA Wallops Flight Facility. Prime time to spot the rocket is approximately 6:45-6:49pm low on the eastern horizon. The weather […]
This time of year makes me feel slightly schizophrenic. I am a mom first and I have to make sure that I check “costumes for kiddos” off the list. DONE. Secondly, I am a wife who knows there will inevitably be a Halloween themed party where I will have to squeeze myself into some sort […]
Whether you know her as the loveable Peg from Married with Children or the Machiavellian matriarch Gemma on Sons of Anarchy, you can’t help but love Katey Sagal. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce seems to agree as they finally honored Sagal with her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Stylin’ in a […]
The National Building Museum was ablaze Saturday night with green gowns, gems and good will for Charity Works Absinthe Dream Ball. Whether it was the whimsical forest of emerald hues sported by the glitzy guests or the donations raised for TAPS, Don Bosco and Teach for America, the whole Adeler family witnessed a very generous side of […]
It’s always a thrill when you get to impress your kids but when that involves meeting a hunky “superhero” (Hawkeye), even better! Tuesday night, I attended a screening of Kill the Messenger, Michael Cuesta’s new biopic starring Jeremy Renner, at the Motion Picture Association of America. D.C. was a perfect backdrop from which to be transported to the era of […]
Lauren Cohan, best known for her role as Maggie Greene in the hit TV series “The Walking Dead” looked anything but… at the Spike TV’s “Guys Choice 2014”. She took our “Rock Candy” look to a new level in her bejeweled mini dress and “safety pin” satin heals PLUS the Jorge Adeler cleaved citrine ring […]
I was a little excited (ok, more than a little…truth be told) but also disheveled and perplexed. I could ALMOST put a ladies photo shoot together in my sleep. This is not a pat on the back…this is more a nod to the amazing team that we have assembled through the years…. Our amazing photographer […]
The beautiful and talented Carrie Underwood came out with barrels blazing last night at the Billboard Music Awards to perform her hit duet with Miranda Lambert Somethin’ Wrong and her night just got hotter and hotter. After she rocked the house, she did a quick change into a jaw dropping black shimmery gown by Jill […]
Oprah Winfrey turns 60 this year and she has deemed 2014 “The Year to Shine”. Taking a look at the January cover of her O magazine we are so excited that she chose to sparkle in one of my dad’s “Rock Candy” collection rings from his Jorge Adeler Spring Collection. It certainly compliments her figure […]
Val and I had such great time learning more about the incredible work that Award- winning actor Gary Sinise is doing through the foundation he began in 2011. In his words, the Gary Sinise Foundation was created to “serve our Nation by honoring our defenders, veterans, first responders, their families, and those in need.” At […]
The amazing thing about working in a family business …is the that there is ALWAYS the glimmer of hope that your own children will one day maybe carry the torch and go into that same family business. My parents always had that dream, and my sister and I have been happily working in the business […]
Thank You Taylor Schilling of the hit show “Orange is the New Black” for showing us how to wear white after Labor day and for rocking a Jorge Adeler “Rock Candy” ring at the Emmys! You looked beautiful! People Magazine picked Taylor as one of the Emmy night’s best dressed too.
Super exciting today as we just found out that the E News tonight host will be wearing some of our custom designs from the Rock Candy collection! Thanks so much Alicia!
Now I can RELAX! I could even say “my job here is done” ….I mean, when CNN calls you to appear on national TV as a SOURCE, you know you have arrived. OK, that is only in my dreams, but the CNN part really did happen. A few weeks ago, during when one of the […]
Well Katy Perry does it again! Once again showing that her style is spot on and that she knows what is both elegant and appropriate in this beautiful Giambattista Vall Emerald Green Gown. Her look was glamorous last night at the White House Correspondence Association Dinner, while bringing in a little Grecian goddess to the […]
Did you know that roughly 1/4 of the gold in circulation today dates back to Roman Times? Incredible isn’t it? With all of the “Earth Day” celebrations and promotions drawing attention to the paramount responsibility we all share in protecting this plant, I thought it timely to share that Adeler Jewelers uses 100% recycled Gold […]
I never thought I would put that as a headline BUT… it seems more and more brick and mortar retail stores are feeling the crunch of online stores and trying out ways to “fight back”. An Australian based health food store has adopted the novel (although surely not popular) approach of charging a $5 “show-rooming” […]
The weather forecast said SNOW, but thankfully it held off until well after our 29th Annual Children’s Spring Festival and Egg Hunt. The day was filled with fun and excitement, with inflatable rides, cotton candy, the EGG HUNT and the Easter Bunny putting smiles on the 450–500 children who came out, despite the chilly weather. […]
Great Falls really is a GREAT place! Over 30 years ago my wife, Graciela and I were attracted to the warm people, the beautiful landscapes, the slower pace and family feeling we found in Great Falls. It was close enough to Washington, DC to offer the culture we wanted to expose our young daughters to, […]
What trends did I spot tonight on the Red Carpet? Strapless was definitely a preferred neckline this evening. My favorites were Jennifer Garner, who paired her strapless gown with a lovely statement choker and “mess” up-do”. Jennifer Lawrence who wore larger earrings and a very delicate long necklace worn down the back and Jessica Chastain […]
Dad and I just returned from Tucson the largest gem and mineral convention that runs one month. This kind of overindulgence doesn’t affect the waistline….only the bottom line! 40 Venues overflowing with crystals in their natural state, absolute perfection before human hands have even begun to do their crafting. On the other side of the […]
Wow….I am still amazed and honored to see my fathers jewelry one of the most amazingly talented performers of our day. Katy Perry rocked ANOTHER gorgeous one of a kind ring of my dads tonight at the GRAMMY Awards. And she showed up on stage presenting the award for BEST NEW ARTIST! Awesome! (last year […]
I often say that if I were to have been “born” into another family business, the only one that I could think of that would top this would be a chocolate factory 🙂 I mean, if you think about it, I am surrounded by gorgeous, sparkly, amazing works of art all day long, I get […]
Every year in households across America at the start of the holiday season there comes a great debate waged across dinner tables everywhere: recycling vs. energy saving? Should I use my Christmas lights from years past or buy new LED lights? Because we’re all about “bling” here at Adeler Jewelers we did both!
